Kenmount Road is open for business during construction

The City is upgrading the Kenmount Road trunk storm sewer. There are four phases of work required to upgrade the length of Kenmount Road from Polina Road to the Team Gushue Highway Overpass.

The third phase will take place this year, 2020, and will involve the area between Peet St. and Pippy Pl. Prior phases of construction completed in 2018 and 2019 involved areas between Polina Rd. and Peet St. and included the realignment of the Polina Rd intersection. The fourth phase is planned for 2021 and will involve the area between Pippy Pl. and the Team Gushue Highway Overpass. Check out the Frequently Asked Questions for further details.

The new storm sewer will replace the existing aging infrastructure and provide additional capacity at the same time.

While traffic on Kenmount Road will be maintained during construction, there will be some disruptions and slowdowns. The City will make every effort to minimize interruptions and to maintain traffic flow, especially during peak rush hour.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during construction, and we ask the public to obey and follow all posted signage in and near the construction zone.
