The City views public engagement as a process – one that facilitates dialogue with the right people, using the right tools, at the right time, on subject areas of mutual interest.

Our online space provides a way for the City to connect with our residents and other interested individuals. We encourage you to share your ideas on projects, initiatives, and plans in ways that work for you.

This page has been set up to guide your engagement with the City and to provide examples of the tools used on our various project pages.

When you visit EngageStJohns.ca, one of the first things you can do is create an account.

Featured pages

Further down the main page you'll find a section for featured pages.

  • Planning St. John's: This page lists Planning applications including rezonings and text amendments.
  • Capital Construction: Provides links to our major Capital Construction projects.
  • City Influencers: Learn more about City Influencers - the online space for young adults to engage with the City.

In this section you will find all active projects. These projects are open for engagement or were recently accepting feedback from the public and there are recommendations or decisions yet to be made.
