The City of St. John’s recognizes that recreation facilities, spaces, and programs are critical community assets and services that contribute to residents’ quality of life and provide opportunities for residents to connect with each other and their community. High quality recreation opportunities are fundamentally important to create a vibrant community.
To support the delivery of quality recreation opportunities, the City is completing a Recreation Master Plan (the Plan) to proactively manage the current and future investment in recreation opportunities. The Plan will be an innovative and progressive roadmap to guide the delivery of recreation services for the City, community partners, and residents for 10-plus years and will provide a long-term vision that will be a foundation for planning and decision-making. It will also include actionable recommendations that will build on the City’s current strengths in the provision of recreation facilities, programs, and services for residents.
There are many opportunities for the community to provide input throughout the project. Use the ideas or mapping tools below to leave your feedback, check out the key dates for a meeting or pop up event near you or take a few minutes to complete the survey.
