    What is the population of the Wedgewood park community?

    Wedgewood Park as a community has a population of 1215; however Ward 1, which includes Wedgewood Park, Clovelly, Eastmeadows, etc. has a population of 21,523.

    Given that we are at the end of the first week of April, can you be more specific on opening date? I am trying to decide whether I need to get a Y membership.

    What type of fitness centre will be at Wedgewood. Will there be fitness equipment like treadmills, ellipticals, etc., as there are at the Mount Pearl and Paradise facilities?

    There will be 4 cardio machines at the facility for people to use primarily for those waiting in our facility such as parents for swimming lessons. These machines overlook our lobby area. We do not have any memberships like other gyms in the area, it is not our mandate to compete with these facilities. People can use these machines as mentioned while they are waiting for other programs in our facility to end. There will be more details about usage posted in that area of the building.

    Yes, we will be offering private swimming lessons at the new PRCC, but we do not have confirmation on an opening date or when registration will begin.

    Good Evening, I was just wondering when the Paul Reynolds Community Centre would be opening? It says Spring 2017, but the schedule does not seem to be in the City Guide for Spring. I'm just wondering if it is delayed? Thanks.

    The actual opening date for the Paul Reynolds Centre has not been finalized, all we know at this point is that it is still on track for some time this spring.

    Does the Leisure Pool have a graduated entry for children? Concrete slope or steps?

    Yes, the pool has what is called a 'beach front' or zero depth entry as the main entry point however other areas of the leisure pool have steps and ladders. Have a look at the two new photos just added.

    Thank you for your inquiry. The Paul Reynolds Community Centre at Wedgewood Park has a 25 - meter lane pool.

    The rendering of the community centre does not appear to show any of the following: - Charging stations for electric vehicles - Bike racks or bike lockers - Evidence of bus stops or other public transit Will any or all of these three features be worked into the community centre, and if not, why not?

    Thanks for your questions. At this point there are no plans for electric charging stations at the centre.  Bus service is provided to this area.  And bike racks will be provided but there are no plans for bike lockers.
