Consultation has concluded

The City is completing road construction work to connect Hebron Way with Major’s Path. The scope of work for this project includes:

  • Extending Hebron Way to Major’s Path
  • Connecting Carolyn Drive to Hebron Way (north bound only)
  • Roundabout construction at the intersection of Hebron Way and Major’s Path
  • Water and sewer infrastructure
  • Sidewalks and multi-purpose trail

While motor vehicle traffic and pedestrian access will be maintained during construction, there will be some disruptions and slowdowns. The City will make every effort to minimize disruptions and to maintain traffic flow, especially during peak rush hour. We ask the public to obey and follow all posted signage in and near the construction zone.

A traffic advisory will be posted to the city’s website before construction begins on Major's Path.

Hello! What do the multi-purpose trails include? Thank you!

Thank you for your question. The multi-use trail is a 3.6 m wide asphalt surface trail.  The trail starts at the existing sidewalk on Hebron Way and extends to just west of the new roundabout on Major's Path.  A separate section of multi-use trail connects Carolyn Drive to Major's Path.  Future planned upgrades of Major's Path will include extension and connection of the multi-use trail to Airport Heights and the Virginia River Trail as per the Bike St. John's Master Plan.
