This project has been completed.


Built by the Town of Goulds in 1983, the existing Goulds Sewage Pumping Station located at 557 Main Road has out lived its useful life and requires complete replacement. A new modernized facility will be built adjacent to the old facility and will convey the existing and future sewage flows for the Goulds area. This facility will be remotely monitored and operated through the Riverhead Wastewater Treatment Facility.

PROJECT FUNDING

The project was approved to receive cost shared funding on August 1, 2016 through the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund. The funding partners for this project are the Government of Canada, Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and the City of St. John's.

    Construction has begun to replace the existing Goulds Sewage Pumping Station.

    The scope of the construction work will include deep excavation for the building foundation adjacent to the old facility. During this time there may be significant noise related to the excavation work. The City of St. John's apologizes for any inconvenience.
