Did you know the amount of waste generated during the holidays increases by approximately 25% compared to other times of the year? The City of St. John’s  is focused on creating a sustainable city for today and future generations. 

In a previous City Influencer survey, we asked about your thoughts and behaviours related to holiday waste. Based on your feedback, the waste diversion team has increased waste diversion messaging that is shared with thousands of residents each week.
