Traffic changes update

Construction work to modify the intersections in the area of Rawlins Cross has started. The target for the final change-over to the new yield-on-entry traffic pattern is late next week. Please note, the official date of the change over is dependent on weather as line painting is required.

A traffic advisory will be posted on the city’s website next week, when the final construction to change the intersection is underway- sign up for e-updates to be notified. Detours and lane reductions will be required during the final stage of construction.

The Rawlins Cross pilot project will remove two traffic signals on Military Road and introduce a yield-on-entry system. Changes will remain in place until evaluation is completed by staff and a report presented to City council who will vote on whether or not the traffic changes will be permanent.
