Urban Designis one of the six key pillars of the Healthy City Strategy. The goal of the Urban Design pillar is to develop "A City where residents quality of life is improved through healthy design of streets, neighbourhoods, and public spaces."
This pillar has two healthy city 'assets'. Healthy City assets are the building blocks needed in our neighbourhoods to support health and wellbeing. The assets of the 'Urban Design' are:
Mixed-use
Getting Around & Accessibility
Each of the assets is supported by a series of Implementation Strategies that guide action on behalf of the City and the stakeholders involved in the Healthy City Strategy. To learn more about the Implementation Strategies, see 'Documents'.
We are seeking input and ideas from residents on whether these assets and implementation strategies support a healthy city. If you have ideas, share them below.
