Watermain Lining Project: Various Areas

The watermain in the following areas of the city is scheduled for cleaning and structural lining from August to early November 2019:

· Empire Avenue (Freshwater Road to Winchester Street)

· Freshwater Road (Empire Avenue to Merrymeeting Road)

· Linegar Avenue (Dillon Crescent to Warford Road)

· Hennessey Place

This work is in addition to the ongoing watermain rehabilitation in the Rabbittown Area, which began in April and is scheduled to be completed in August.

Businesses and homes in the impacted areas will receive water through a temporary above ground water piping system installed along the street. The contractor will notify residents directly if their property is impacted. Access to properties is required to provide temporary water service.

Two-way traffic and pedestrian access will be maintained where possible. Every effort will be made to maintain driveway access to properties in the work site. Minor traffic delays are to be expected.
